DescriptionBuckden Towers and blossom - Buckden - geograph.org.uk - 1891220.jpg
English: Buckden Towers and blossom - Buckden, near to Buckden, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain.
Formerly Buckden Palace and mid-way between London and Lincoln on the Great North Road as well as being in the centre of the historic diocese, was a resting place and home to the Bishops of Lincoln from the 12th Century to 1842.
Only the Great Tower, Inner Gatehouse, part of the battlemented wall which used to surround the Inner Court within the moat, and the Outer Gate and wall of the original now remain.
Buckden Towers is now the site of a Christian Retreat and Conference Centre run by the Claretian Missionaries together with the Catholic Parish Church of St. Hugh of Lincoln.
