Summary

Description

Product of a Macedonian workshop. It is decorated with a gilded silver vine wreath and faces of Maenads at the bases of the handles. Circa 370 BC. Repatriated recently from the Shelby White - Leon Levy collection. Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, Greece. --- Χάλκινος καλυκωτός κρατήρας, με συμφυή βάση και πλίνθο, έργο μακεδονικού εργαστηρίου. Διακοσμείται με αργυρό επίχρυσο στεφάνι αμπέλου και πρόσωπα Μαινάδων στη βάση των λαβών. Περίπου 370 π.Χ. Επαναπατρίστηκε πρόσφατα από τη συλλογή Shelby White - Leon Levy.
