Summary

Description A Chinese bronze animal statuette, possibly of a tapir, from Houma, Shanxi Province, China. This piece of art is dated c. 500 BC, made during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. The decorations covering the surface are cast, not incised. F1940.23
