English: British and French prisoners at Dunkirk, France, June 1940. Original caption from Picture Post of 10 August 1940 (Vol 8 No 6) with this wrong legend concerning the place where the photo was taken: The Spirit Behind the New British Army. British and French soldiers help one another up to the cliff at Veules-les-Roses, Normandy.
