Summary

Description

Lance Cpl. Daniel Devaney, an engineer from the 5th Armored Engineer Squadron, 23 Engineer Regiment, detonates a bromine charge to blow a hole in a wall during an operation in the village of Pasab, Afghanistan, March 5. Creating paths through walls allows the soldiers to avoid choke points where insurgents could stage ambushes or improvised explosive devices.
