English: Brimscombe Station, with train.
View westward, towards Gloucester; ex-GWR Swindon - Gloucester main line. The station was closed 2/11/64, when the frequent 'auto-train' service down the Stroud Valley from Chalford to Gloucester was withdrawn; the line is still going strong. One of the auto-trains is standing in the station on its way down from Chalford, being pushed by a 14XX 0-4-2T: the driver would be in the front end controlling the train, while his fireman remained on the engine.
