English: Branksome Dene Chine: Packe family Mausoleum Charles William Packe arrived in Branksome in 1853 from Leicester, where he was an MP and the first chairman of Leicestershire County Council. He was a member of Bournemouth's first local authority and was something of a local benefactor, providing the earliest hospitals in Bournemouth and Poole.
The mausoleum was built for him and his wife, who died in 1867 and 1870 respectively, and ras restored by Poole Borough Council in 1993.
