The pamphlet is 22 pages plus several fold-out maps, originally published by the Northern Institute of Mining Engineers, August 1863 as an accompaniment to a meeting of the British Association. The pamphlet is driven by the linkage between the Canonbie and Newcastle coalfields. The original from which this has been scanned is in the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers. It is reference Tracts vol 157 p29 B.
