Description A tableau image for illustrating the notion of bootstrapping. This powerful metaphor conjoins several related manifestations. The development of the embryo is a bootstrapping process, having deep analogy to the booting technique used in punched tape fed computers of the 1950s. The main motivation for the montage of this tableau is a due illustration of a Wikipedia article with primary topic Bootstrapping (in a generalized sense).
