Description
English: Bombay Presidency War and Relief Fund half anna charity label 1916. Printed by De La Rue in London in sheets of 120. These labels were added to existing postal items, also issued in booklets – panes of 4x. They were sold in booklets of 32 at one rupee, five different format booklets have been recorded. They were organised by Lady Willingdon who founded many hospitals and schools. Her husband was Governor of Bombay from 1913 – 1918.
