Summary

Description
English: Bolton Bridge Bolton Bridge must have been built as a replacement for an earlier structure which was washed away in a flood in September 1673. It was part of the York to Lancaster road which was turnpiked in 1777. The bridge is now little used, except by walkers, cyclists and farm traffic.
