English: Light micrograph of a single Proterythropsis sp. isolate (a Warnowiid dinoflagellate). n = nucleus; double arrowhead = ocelloid (light-sensitive structure analogous to metazoan eyes); arrow = non-mobile posterior cell 'extension' (compare pistons and other complex projective structures in related organisms, e.g. Erythropsidinium sp.) Scale bar = 10 microns.
