Summary
DescriptionBluebonnets (433086449).jpg |
English: Lupinus texensis (or maybe Lupinus subcarnosus?), found in multiple locations in Texas. “Only saw a few small patches of these during my 200 mile drive. Most were here along Hwy 277 south of Del Rio right before you get to the Sycamore Creek bridge. Another patch was near Campwood and the other was outside Rocksprings. I haven't identified them yet but there were also a bunch of caterpillars on all the bluebonnets eating them. You can see some in these photos I've posted.” A. S. Weakley does not provide an identification key which would allow to distinguish these two species, both of which are common in Texas. Weakley, A. S. 2020.
