Ce blason n'est pas celui de Crécy-en-Ponthieu, qui porte officiellement, et depuis un temps immémorial (cf : armorial du Département de la Somme, publié par le Conseil général de la Somme, 1972 ; illustrations de Robert Louis et Mireille louis) : d'azur à trois croissants entrelacés d'or.La commune en fait aujourd'hui un usage officiel et courant.
Crécy-en-Brie possède des armes semblables avec des émaux différents. JD.
