DescriptionBlandford Forum, the fire monument - geograph.org.uk - 1142487.jpg
English: Blandford Forum: the fire monument This monument was erected to mark the rebuilding much of the town centre following the great fire of 4 June 1731. It is at the foot of Church Lane, by the market place and at the corner of the churchyard, and was designed by John Bastard, who along with his brother William was responsible for much of the construction.
The white streaks that run diagonally through the picture are snowflakes it started snowing rather considerably just now, but it was very shortlived.
