English: Birtley railway station (site), County Durham
Opened in 1868 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Newcastle to Durham, this station closed in 1955.

View south east towards Chester-le-Street and Durham. At its largest, the station had four platforms, centre to far right of the image.
