  • New Zealand's public domain laws, according to the Wikipedia article, expire 50 years after the authors death. Assuming that the photographer is 20 when the photo is shot and lives and other fifty years, that puts his death at 1955. Plus 50 years on that and you get 2005. Thus this is public domain.
