English: Bexley: the Charter Oak This large oak tree punctuates a large lawn in Danson Park. Over 200 years old, it features on the borough's coat of arms. On 30 September 1937, beneath this tree Lord Cornwallis presented the Charter to the town, establishing it as a Municipal Borough.
