English: A 1902 postcard illustrating a scene from a traditional Eastern European Jewish wedding. The caption says "Besingen der Kale" (singing to the bride) and shows a badchen (badkhn, wedding bard) standing on a stool above the wedding party, addressing the bride who is seated. There is a klezmer band off to one side although they are currently not performing.
