Description
English: In July 1908, a Department of Agriculture bulletin stated, ""Both benzoic acid and benzoate of soda are bodies which, when added to foods, are injurious to health." Many competitors to Heinz used sodium benzoate; this advertisement was to encourage their customers to switch to Heinz products.
