DescriptionBell local hidden variables geometry with screening.png
English: A quantum state is created locally, split, and sent to remote locations for two measurements, one by Alice and one by Bob. After many measurements, the values measured by Alice (a) are statistically correlated with measurements by Bob (b) despite their separation. Bell proved that adding hidden variables (lambda) to quantum mechanics cannot explain the correlation.
