Summary

Description

Belfry in tower of St Michael and All Angels Church, Beckwithshaw, North Yorkshire, England. The legend on the bells says "Mears & Stainbank Founders London". There is no public access to the belfry or roof.

View looking west through the one-foot squeeze-gap between the bell frame and the south wall of the bell chamber. This is the only part of the floor of the belfry that you can walk on; the rest of the room is entirely filled with the tall, braced bell frame, in which the six bells are hung in two tightly-fitted tiers.
