Beamforming.jpg (600 × 392 pixels, file size: 52 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description
English: Beamforming is a signal processing technique used in sensor arrays for directional signal transmission or reception. This spatial selectivity is achieved by using adaptive or fixed receive/transmit beampatterns. The improvement compared with an omnidirectional reception/transmission is known as the receive/transmit gain (or loss).

This physics image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Beamforming.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
