Description
The Beale Memorial Clock Tower in Bakersfield, California. The original tower, shown here, stood at the intersection of Chester Avenue and 17th Street. It was badly damaged in the earthquakes of 1952 and subsequently demolished. A replica of the tower was constructed in the 1960s on the grounds of the Kern County Museum.
