The Map was compiled using various sources. Primarily German Lage Ost map for 6 August 1942, 7 August 1942 ,6 August 1942 and 9 August 1942 Also well as Russian situation maps, primarily from Soviet 20th Army. German divisional unit maps, 36M, 256ID, 87ID, 161ID, 5PD, 2PD, 129ID, 11IR
