English: Battle of Cairninis This official VisitScotland sign commemorates the Battle of Cairinis in 1601 (part of the war of the one-eyed woman), and indicates the Ditch of Blood. This was the last battle in Scotland (and possibly anywhere in the British Isles) involving bows and arrows.
