English: Barclays Bank, Enfield Town On 27 June 1967 the world's first ATM (Cash Machine) was installed at this branch. There is a plaque on the front of the building marking the spot where the machine was installed. The opening ceremony was performed by Reg Varney of "On the Buses" fame. This plaque 935883 was installed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of this installation, which changed the face of banking for ever.
