„Die Farben der Stadt sind Schwarz-Silber“[1], abgeleitet vom Stadtwappen. Dessen Blasonierung lautet:

„Das Stadtwappen ist ein schwarzes, sechsspeichiges, stehendes Rad auf silbernem Grund.“[1]
