Description

Bandeira do Município de Moreno Pernambuco

A constituição da bandeira encerra o seguinte significado: Branco e Azul – cores do baronato do Moreno; Roda de Engenho – símbolo da fonte da cidade, o Engenho Catende; Ramos de eucalipto – símbolo das verdes colinas; Cana-de-açúcar – representando a monocultura do município; Algodão – simbolizando a matéria-prima da fonte econômica do município.

Foram idealizados pela Mestra Sevy Rocha a convite do então prefeito do município Raul Alves de Melo. No dia 21 de novembro de 1965, em frente a sede da prefeitura do Moreno, fazia-se pela primeira vez o hasteamento do pavilhão do município, bem como a entoação do seu hino.
