English: Banana fritters is a dish local to Kerala, they are called by different names in various parts of the state, for example, pazham pozhi, ethaka appam, etc., These are made from ripe bananas. A dough is made by mixing maida, water, sugar, a pinch of salt, and some cumin seeds. Then the bananas are peeled, cut into either thin long pieces or much smaller pieces, and then mixed with the dough. The bananas are then put into a frying pan filled with oil one by one. Wait till the bananas turn a light golden brown in color. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
These banana fritters can be eaten alone or you can use a drink to wash it all down.
