Kan' is an animal trap made of natural materials. In ancient times, it was customary to work near the farm across the mountains, weaving strips about 6cm wide, as long as needed to cover the desired length. Do not eat anything that smells like garlic, lemongrass, prahok (fermented fish paste)... Do not bring rice or food to the forest. Do not bring outsiders or guests to visit your home, and put up a sign forbidding entry. The house owner must fast according. The rules must be followed, or the trap will not work. Upon returning from the forest and going home, a prayer must be done before eating.
