English: Work is underway to build a short new railway line in Ipswich, Suffolk. Known as 'Bacon Factory Curve', it will allow freight trains running south on the main line (seen looking northwards on the left of this picture) to run directly to the Felixstowe Branch Line (out of picture to the right). This is the scene in October 2013; it is due to open in May 2014. |
