DescriptionBROAD RUN BRIDGE AND TOLLHOUSE; LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA.jpg
English: BRIDGE WAS BUILT FOR THE LEESBURG TURNPIKE COMPANY IN 1820 BUT COLLAPSED DURING HURRICANE AGNES IN 1972. ONLY THE BRIDGE ABUTMENTS REMAIN AN D CAN BE SEEN IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF THE PICTURE. THE TOLL HOUSE IS NOW BOARDED UP BUT WAS USED AS A PRIVATE RESIDENCE
THIS IS A TOUGH SITE TO LOCATE SINCE NO STREETS NOW SEEM TO LEAD TO IT. THE GPS UNITS WOULD NOT ZERO IN ON THE SITE. IT CAN BE SPOTTED BY DRIVING EASTWARD ON VIRGINIA 7 AND LOOKING SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE ROAD CROSSES BROAD RUN
