Description
English: Part of a set of 14 photographs sent to the 1883 International Colonial and Export Exhibition (Internationale Koloniale en Uitvoerhandel Tentoonstelling) in Amsterdam, of which 13 are known to still exist today (held at the KITLV Institute, Leiden University, the Netherlands) "The two English locomotives have been repaired, and a new locomotive has been received from the United States. This is more powerful than the former ones, and takes 20 trucks every trip to the wharf." (Verslag (1882-1883), Aruba Phosphaat Maatschappij, p. 3)
