Summary

Description Lake steamboat “Principe Oddone”, an aviso of the Italian Royal Navy. It was built by the Austrian-Hungarian Navy in 1852 and was in service on the Lake Garda; in 1866 it was seized by the Italian government after the 3rd War of Independence and became an asset of the Italian Navy that kept it until 1857, when it was lent to a Northern Italian railway company, who bought it definitely in 1880, the year in which she was decommissioned by the Italian Navy. In 1885 the boat was sold to a Southern Italian railway company and demolished in 1895 (watercolor on cardboard)
