Augsburger Wunderzeichenbuch, folio 19 (73 BC) Text bottom center

"73. Da man zalt vor christi geburt lxxiii ... man bei ainander zerhet unnd das brot schnitt so flüßs das blut darvon, wie auß einer wunden, auch hett es so grausam hagel, dass es siben tag an ainder stain schlug unnd darum scherben von rechten stainen gefinden vnnd recht spitzig stains dar in das das erdreich fast von zu grunt ging."
English translation: "In the year 73 B.C., people gathered to drink but when they cut the bread, blood came out of it as if out of a wound. There was also a hailstorm so terrible that rocks fell from the sky for seven days in succession, and therein too were pieces of real stones and plenty of sharp stones, so that the soil was destroyed by them."
