Summary
[edit]Famous picture of Francis Asbury's consecration as the first bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church. This images is from an original copy of this engraving by A. Gilchrist Campbell after a painting by Thomas Coke Ruckle and published by T. C. Ruckle in New York, 1882. Asbury became bishop at the Baltimore Christmas Conference in 1784.
