Description
English: A digital representation of the coat of arms of Thomas Babington Macaulay, 1st Baron Macaulay. This illustration was created for Clans of Scotland project of English-speaking Wikipedia. The blazon used was: "Gu. two arrows in saltire, points downward ar. surmounted by as many barrulets compony or and az. betw. two buckles in pale of the third, a bordure engr. also of the third". The source of the blazon was page 635 of The General Armory of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, by Bernard Burke, published by Harrison & sons in 1864. This coat of arms dates from the lifetime of Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859). It not granted by the Lord Lyon King of Arms.
