Ark Mill (aka Welkin Mill). This mill built 1906 for ring spinning apparently had a steam turbine driving a generator with electric machine drives. The power plant buildings are hidden round the back and I couldn't get to see them. There was a guy with a hi-vis vest sat in a car by the rear entrance. I wonder if this is a response to a recent ascent of the chimney by the urban exploration brigade.
