Stacy-Judd. the author, has de-voted the greater part of his life to studyand exploration of the Central Americanempire and it is his fond hope that themovement of which he is indisputably thefather, will eventually result in an acceptedAmerican style. The successful explorations which Mr.Stacy-Judd has already conducted areabout to be followed by the greatest of allexpeditions—the largest and most completeever to enter any jungle. The author de-clares his belief that its mission is one ofthe most important in history, and his rea-sons for so believing sound logical: First, he says, the historical datawhich I have gathered and now awaits pub-lication, forms one, if not the most astound-ing story of the entire human race. Its ac-ceptance will change world histories. Second. I endeavor to prove that theearliest Egyptians were Maya colonists. Third, that Christ was a master of theMaya tongue and esoteric lore. The Mayas were great astronomers,adepts at astrology, physicians and ex-ceedingly learned in all the arts and crafts;in other words, highly civilized. They gaveus between forty and fifty household com-modities which we could not do withoutat this time, including tobacco and rubber. ^ 41 ► They gave us the Zero sign, without whichwe could not compute. Their calendar is so accurate, althoughin e.xistence for over five thousand years.it will outlast our own Gregorian calendar,which is not yet 350 years old. It is with-out question the greatest story in the worldtoday. Furthermore the almost impene-trable jungle pall, extending from northernYucatan to Guatamala. may be termed theworlds last frontier, and the story actu-ally belongs to America. ■And so.
