DescriptionAqueduct over Beverley and Barmston Drain - geograph.org.uk - 1018630.jpg
English: Aqueduct over Beverley and Barmston Drain, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. I'm not sure if this an aqueduct over the Drain or a tunnel under the Beck, but either way it's an exemplar of hydrological engineering. The Beverley and Barmston Drain runs roughly parallel with the Hull from Tophill Low weir until it debouches back into the Hull near its mouth. At the point photographed it has just finished running past Swinemoor, where it is a regular haunt for Kingfishers.
