Image title | U.S. soldiers with, 412th Aviation Support Battalion, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, conduct recovery operations Feb. 21, 2014, at the Oberdachstetten Local Training Area (LTA). These soldiers practiced flipping over then recovering a M929 five-ton dump truck using a M1089 MTV five-ton wrecker. This training event is being led by a mobile training team from the Ordnance School, Fort Lee, Va. Soldiers who successfully complete this wheeled vehicle recovery course earn the "H8" additional skill identifier. The Oberdachstetten LTA is just one of the many LTAs operated by the Training Support Activity Europe to provide both U.S. Army Europe and partner nation soldiers with the ability to perform rigorous, realistic and relevant home-station training that enhances their combat readiness.
