| Description |
English: Junction at site of Annbank station, 1994. View eastward, on the ex-GSWR lines from Ayr (also Troon, ?goods only) towards Mauchline to the left and to the right via Drongan and Cumnock to Cronberry and Muirkirk. Passenger services on the Mauchline line ceased from 4/1/43, on the Drongan line from 10/9/51 and the station closed that day, but in 1994 both routes were still open for goods traffic - after interruption in the 1980s, mainly conveying open-cast coal. |
