Aniche (cartulaire de Charles de croÿ); Album de Croÿ, gouache peinte sur parchemin par Adrien de Montigny pour Charles de Croÿ

Le chemin creux du 1er plan serait celui venant de Bouchain et conduisant à Auberchicourt et Douai. L'artiste a figuré sur le toit de l'église les crochets qui y retiennent la neige et/ou permettent d'y accrocher des échelles pour l'entretien des ardoises. Deux tourelles sont visibles sur le côté de l'église, garnies de flèches couvertes d'ardoises. La nef semble être faite de quatre travées sans collatéraux. Le choeur plus étroit et plus bas est inhabituellement allongé (au moins trois travées). L'église a été reconstruite de 1857 à 1859 et le clocher refait en 1872.
