Español: Hipogeo del anfiteatro de El Djem, un sitio arqueológico en la ciudad de El Djem, Túnez. El anfiteatro, patrimonio de la Humanidad de la Unesco desde 1979, fue construido aprox. en 238 d.C, cuando la Túnez moderna pertenecía al la provincia de África del Imperio Romano. Es, con una capacidad de 35,000 espectadores, una longitud de 148 m y un anchura de 122 m, el tercer mayor anfiteatro del antiguo Imperio, el mejor conservado y el único en África.
English: Hypogeum of the Amphitheatre of El Jem, an archeological site in the city of El Djem, Tunisia. At both sides of this tunnel are located the cells where the beasts for the games were kept. The amphitheatre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, was built around 238 AD, when the modern Tunisia belonged to the Roman province of Africa. It is the third biggest amphiteatre and one of the best preserved Roman ruins in the world with capacity for 35,000 spectators within 148 metres (486 ft) and 122 metres (400 ft) long axes, unique in Africa.

Amfiteátr byl postaven kolem roku 238 v době, kdy Tunis byl Římskou provincií. Je to třetí největší a celkově nejzachovalejší Římská památka s kapacitou asi 35 000 diváků, délkou 148 m a je 122 m široký. Po stranách tohoto tunelu jsou umístěny cely pro zvířata, používaná pro gladiátorské hry.

Das Amphitheater, seit 1979 ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, wurde ca. 238 n.Chr. erbaut, als das jetzige Tunesien zur römischen Provinz Africa gehörte. Es ist das drittgrößte Amphitheater und eine der besterhaltenen römischen Ruinen der Welt.
