English: 1875 United States Government reissue of the original 1863 "Black Jack" 2-cent postage stamp, no. 73, featuring Andrew Jackson. This particular stamp was lot 11, catalog no. 103, of a Shreves Philatelic Galleries, Inc., auction, and was described thus: "#103, 2c Black re-issue, a marvelous mint single of this rare re-issue, being in a quality that few others can compare, as this stamp boasts outstanding centering amid lavishly large margins, plus its color is especially strong and its impression truly prooflike on fresh paper, full perforations all around, o.g., relatively lightly hinged, extremely fine; only 979 issued; 2002 PF certificate."
