English: Andres Rodriguez (born in Caracas, Venezuela, May 11th , 1984) began his career as a rider at a very young age, proving his abilities as an athlete and his talent within the equestrian sport. Andres has an exceptional talent as a rider and has imposed himself as a winner at all different levels he has competed in. His first important achievement came back in 1997 when he became National Champion in the Children´s category and this was repeated in 1998 and 2000.
Early in his career he realised he was immensely attracted by the Equestrian Sport and soon decided to embrace his passion for horses into a professional career. At the age of 18 he moved to Europe and started participating in some of the most important circuits in the world, gaining experience from world famous rider and trainer Nelson Pessoa and his son Rodrigo (BRA) .
Andres graduated from Lynn University, FL - USA with a bachelor degree in International business. Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. He is also an ambassador for the charity organisation Just World International which supports programs for young kids in countries such as Guatemala & Colombia providing them with food and education. This comes to prove Andres is not only an exceptional athlete, a great businessman and a kind hearted human being.
His biggest achievement came recently at the past edition of the 2015 Panamerican Games in Toronto , CAN, when together with Darlon Van Groenhove he won the individual Silver medal and the qualification for Venezuela to the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. Indeed the biggest challenge in his career and an opportunity to place Venezuela at the highest level of competition in the most important equestrian event in the world.
Without a doubt Andres Rodriguez is a real example, he has proven his achievements and results have come from his hard work, dedication, love for the sport and more important the desire to do things right and become an inspiration to the younger generation of athletes in his native Venezuela.
