English: Over 1,000 years ago, an incredible polar journey began. The ancestors of modern-day Inuit left northern Alaska and migrated eastward, across the Arctic to Greenland. This photo was taken near the community of Resolute where about half a dozen of these houses are scattered. I believe that there had been some partial reconstruction but they are not in a museum, they are actual remnants of homes and they are left to the elements.
