Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of the crystal structure of ammonium cyanate, CH4N2O, i.e. [NH4][OCN], viewed down the b axis with a small amount of rotation applied to reveal the three-dimensional structure.

Colour code:

Carbon, C: grey
Hydrogen, H: white
Nitrogen, N: blue
Oxygen, O: red

Structure determined by neutron powder diffraction and reported in J. Am. Chem. Soc. (2003) 125, 14449-14451.

Crystallographic data obtained from CSD entry KEFJEN.

Model manipulated and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
