Description
English: Oustanding yellow green crystals of the extremely rare mineral alterite (IMA 2018-070) from the type and only known locality worldwide: Cliff Dwellers Lodge, Coconino County, Arizona, United States of America. Alterite, Zn2Fe3+4(SO4)4(C2O4)2(OH)4· 17H2O, is the 23rd oxalate species, first natural Zn oxalate mineral to date, so it is at the same time an organic and an inorganic mineral.
